Seniors in Sync – Step Into History: A Guided Tour of the Battleship USS Iowa
Experience living history right in our backyard. We are heading to San Pedro for a private, guided tour of the majestic USS Iowa. Walk the decks of this historic battleship and stand inside the legendary President’s Cabin, which once hosted Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Following our tour, we will drive to a beautiful nearby park to relax, reflect, and enjoy a brown bag picnic lunch together in the fresh air.
Wednesday, November 9
11am-1pm Tour followed by a brown bag lunch at a nearby park, Point Fermin (3.6 miles from the USS Iowa).
Meet at the USS Iowa (250 S. Harbor Blvd, San Pedro).
Parking
First hour is free
Each additional hour is $2.
Natalie will help arrange carpools.
What to Bring: A brown bag lunch, water bottle, and comfortable walking shoes. Wear a hat and sunscreen.
