Every year at Purim time, our TBA/JPA community joins in the tradition of mishloah manot – exchanging gifts in celebration of the holiday.
The four mitzvot performed on Purim are:
Giving matanot l’evyonim: giving to at least two people in need;
Listening to Megillat Esther, the reading of the Purim story;
Eating a seudah, a festive holiday meal; and
Sending mishloah manot, gifts of at least two different foods, to friends & family.
As we have in previous years, once again we will focus on another mitzvah of Purim – matanot l’evyonim – where we are required to support those who are truly in need.
A portion of the funds collected will be donated to local organizations such as OBKLA who are providing meals for those impacted by the wildfires.
New this year! Mishloah Manot will be run through ShulCloud. You will not be able to see your list from last year, but going forward your selections will be saved.
