After the October 11th Accountability Action with the mayoral and sheriff candidates we came away with a couple key points:
- “Public life must be experienced personally.” You can’t just read about it and get it; just like you can’t just think about voting, you actually need to vote.
- We received significant recognition from the candidates we met with; however, for that to matter over time, we’ll need to keep following up with them and engaging with them to hold them accountable to agreements.
For TBA, let’s begin planning how to present the damaged sidewalks in our area to the Mayor, since both candidates committed to accompanying us on a walking tour.
