Learning
Education, individually and as a community, contributes to the richness of our lives.
The mission of the Rembaum Institute for Adult Education and Family Programming reflects and preserves Rabbi Rembaum’s dedication to Jewish education and an enriched Jewish life, as well as a deep commitment to the state of Israel. The Institute in all of its programming reflects the quarter century commitment of Rabbi Joel Rembaum to adult and family education at Temple Beth Am. The Institute’s goals are to provide educational opportunities for the adults of Temple Beth Am, to broaden and enhance their Jewish education through diverse classes, lectures, panels, programs and social action. Additionally, to extend and strengthen the spiritual and religious lives of Temple Beth Am families through programming, retreats, and creative activities.
Founded in 1986, Pressman Academy is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and has been recognized by the United States Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School due to our students’ outstanding standardized test scores from our rigorous general studies curriculum.

It is our purpose to teach our students and their families how to participate in ritual and spiritual life as a Conservative Jew. To this end, we offer a curriculum which is driven by this purpose and is geared for students and their families.
