Temple Beth Am’s Teen Program offers a wide variety of after school, weekend and special interest programs for teens in our community. TBA Teens are empowered to grow intellectually, socially, creatively and emotionally.
Teens in grades 6th-12th develop leadership skills and build healthy, social bonds through cohort-based learning, youth groups’ experiences rich in spirit, social action, Israel & Jewish ritual, and community social events.
This year’s teen membership looks a little different as we encourage you to invest in our teen community so that we can continue to offer great virtual (for now!) programs such as:
- Weekly Teen lounges
- Social programming
- Shabbat opportunities
- High Holiday programs
- Social justice oriented programming
- Partner programs with other synagogues and organizations

Through the field-tested programs, Rosh Hodesh and Shevet Achim, offer groups for boys and girls in 8th-12th grade a unique cohort experience that inspire Jewish teens to openly explore fundamental questions of identity and society throughout their teen years.CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO
This program will run from 6:00 -7:30 PM for three Tuesdays each month, co-taught by Andrea McNellis and Rabbi Cantor Hillary Chorny. We will offer a combination of practical skills for the bimah – specifically, prayer leadership – and reflective exercises about spiritual growth. It’s a wonderful place for these teens to continue their growth among peers and friends!
Now in its 10th year, Torah Club provides 6th - 12th graders with the opportunity to build on their trope and davening skills. With designated Torah Club Shabbatot throughout the year, Torah Club members serve the community by reading Torah (and frequently haftarah) and leading services. Aliyot are assigned in advance of a Torah Club Shabbat, and members receive 1-on-1 support to help them prepare. Contact Nina Golden at email@example.com. for more info.
