6th Grade B'nei Mitzvah Cohort
RSVP HERE
All 6th grade families are invited to participate in a series of exclusives experience designed for families immersed in preparing for a B’nei Mitzvah.
December 3, March 18, May 6 at 12:30 PM on Corning 8
(June 11 at 10:00 AM at the Beach!)
Over the course of the year, Rabbi Chorny and Rabbi Shapiro will lead these programs through which we’ll explore the changes, challenges, and joys that arise while preparing for the bar/bat mitzvah experience.
For the first time, this year we will be holding most of these programs on Shabbat afternoon. Sixth grade families are invited to a special lunch beforehand on those days, and we will also provide child care for those of you with younger kids so that adults can be present with their 6th grader for the program. Each of those days will also have teen minyan in the morning so that your 6th grader can be a part of a Shabbat morning experience specifically targeted for them as well. The dates are December 3rd, March 18th and May 6th. The cohort will culminate with a Sunday morning program on the beach on June 11th, so mark your calendars now!
*For those families who are not having their child’s b’nei mitzvah on site at TBA: we invite you to join us for these programs among the many others that are available over the course of the coming years to enhance this experience for your family (including Mitzvah Project Central, Beit Midrash Night, and more!) for a $500 fee. You can reach out to Rabbi Chorny (hchorny@tbala.org) for more information or be in touch with Judy Alban, our b’nei mitzvah coordinator, to submit the fee directly (jalban@tbala.org)
