Our Mission
Temple Beth Am's Youth Learning and Engagement (YLE) cultivates young Jews to embark on a lifetime of Jewish journeying. YLE's staff and volunteer leaders create meaningful formal and informal Jewish learning experiences to connect our youth to their Jewish tradition, their community and each other. By engaging with youth and their families in Judaism, Jewish life and the Jewish people, we make it possible for them to create a Jewish life in their present and future.
Family
At Temple Beth Am, we aim to nurture, inspire and create points of Jewish connection for our families as their children grow within our community. Our family engagement programs provide the space enrich the lives of children and parent through immersive experiences, Shabbat, and exciting cohortized activities rooted in Jewish learning and practice. Camp Keshet
Camp Keshet of Temple Beth Am provides a fun and safe environment where friendship and community is formed through strong bonds made by campers and staff. Campers explore traditional summer camp experiences immersed with Ruah and a love for Judaism. Programs are available for ECC (ages 2-5), Gesher/ Kindergarten, 1st-6th grade, and CIT training (7th-8th grade).

JLC
The Jewish Learning Community of Temple Beth Am (JLC) is a supplementary center for Jewish learning. JLC students in grades K-6 begin to develop a skill set and the rich understanding needed to lead a full Jewish life of Jewish ritual, culture, and tradition.

Teens
At Temple Beth Am, teens prepare to be active participants and leaders of the Jewish community. Through fun informal activities and cohort-driven groups, teens broaden their horizons, deepen their friendships, discover ways to lead a healthy and balanced life and strengthen the foundation of their Jewish identity.

Youth Groups
Youth Groups at Temple Beth Am encourage a love of Judaism in children and teenagers. Our exciting informal programming fosters connections among young Jews and with the larger Jewish community. Programs available for grades 2-12: Mahar (2nd-3rd), Kadima (4th-6th) and USY (7th-12th grade).
