Join us this year for six Thursday evenings, once a month, in a traditional Beit Midrash (study hall) run by R. David Kasher of Hadar and hosted by Temple Beth Am.

The focus of our “watch” this year will be on Midrash, which literally means just, “study,” but is also the word our Sages used for their interpretations of the Hebrew Bible. Whether you’re curious about Beit Midrash study, eager to explore the art of Midrash, or just in it for the cholent (a beloved mishmar staple), there’s something for everyone!

Feb 13: Nature Midrashim (Tu B’shvat edition)

Mar 20: Mishkan Midrashim (Parashat Vayakhel)

April 24: Human Suffering Midrashim (Yom HaShoah edition)

May 22: Jubilee Midrashim (Parashat Behar-Behukotai)

June 12: Desert Midrashim (Parashat Beha’alotkha)

Six sessions for $6 each (to cover snacks, drinks), or $30 for all six! No one turned away for lack of funds – we want you to join us – no barriers.
