The Religious School of the Pressman Academy includes Gan through Kitah Zayin (Kindergarten through Seventh Grade).  The core subjects include Hebrew Language, Bible, T'fillot (Prayer) and Mitzvot (Commandments), Holidays and Customs, Jewish History, and Israel.

It is our purpose to teach our students and their families how to participate in ritual and spiritual life as a Conservative Jew.  To this end, we offer a curriculum which is driven by this purpose and is geared for students and their families.

The goals of the Rabbi Jacob Pressman Academy of Temple Beth Am Religious School are to:

1.      Develop Jewish children who are literate in traditional Jewish subjects including Hebrew Language, Bible, T'fillot (Prayer) and Mitzvot (Commandments), Holidays and Customs, Jewish History, and Israel.

2.      Expose the students to the great ideas, events, personalities, stories and songs of Jewish culture.

3.      Strengthen the children's and families' identification with the Conservative Movement by offering a Jewish social environment.

4.      Increase the children's and families' participation in Klal Yisrael (All of the People Israel), through active involvement in and support for Temple Beth Am and other Jewish community institutions.

5.      Nurture children's love for Judaism and a commitment to Tikkun Olam, (The Repair of the World).
