“Pressman has a warm environment, with a wonderful blend of Judaic studies and secular education. When I first met the administrators, I was really impressed that the curriculum is research-based. They don’t just choose what the other schools are doing. They actually research what’s best for the kids. That’s fantastic. I am an educator, so to be at a school that is open in that way and also has the Judaic studies is wonderful.”

“When I walk into Pressman I feel like I am at home. I really like the administration. I like the teachers and the parents. The teachers take the time to actually talk to you. They listen and they take care of the kids.”
The Kalt Family: Amber, Paul, Jacob, Adam , Rachel, Hannah“We chose Pressman when our children were preschool age. We were members of Temple Beth Am, and it just seemed like a logical fit. Then we decided to enroll our oldest son in Pressman Academy’s Kindergarten. We had never intended to send our kids to Jewish day school. But it was such a warm, nurturing environment that we knew Pressman would provide a lot of things we would not get in any public school environment—no matter how great the school.
“The Early Childhood Center teachers are so kind and warm to our children. If our children are having any kind of transitional problem, they help them through it and give them the love and care they need to get through whatever kind of issue it might be.”
“We love the parental involvement, the size of the classes and the closeness that the families and the children share. We like the connection between the shul and the school.
“The school is supportive in every way you can imagine. The teachers and administration are so available. If you want to talk about your child, they’re there for you. The teachers are very open and willing to listen. They address issues immediately—they don’t wait.”

“The teachers are amazing. Every year we’ve had wonderful experiences. They pay such close attention and they really care about the kids like they’re family. The kids themselves are like a family. The administration really cares about the concerns of the parents and addresses them sensitively. We just love it.
“The Hebrew program is really impressive. My daughter is fluent in Hebrew. We speak it at home, but it has been amazing to watch her absolutely immersed in Hebrew language because of school, and not just because of home. It’s been wonderful to watch.”

“We wanted our kids to have a Jewish education. We wanted them to go to a Conservative school. At Temple Beth Am, we saw kids from Pressman Academy becoming bar and bat Mitzvah and were really impressed by them—how well they spoke, and how much they were learning. We just fell in love with the school.
“I’m a teacher, so I’m familiar with education. What sets Pressman apart is the level of commitment of the teachers—to the students, the curriculum and to Jewish learning. Many teachers are also part of the shul community. That makes a tremendous difference.
“We love the Hebrew immersion program and that our children are learning to speak Hebrew with Israeli accents! It’s amazing to hear them speak so well in a language that I don’t speak myself. I am blown away by how much they are learning and that it’s not a struggle for. It just comes naturally to them; they feel like it’s just a part of who they are.
“We love that they take the social and emotional development into consideration. The teachers are teaching the kids to be mensches. They teach the kids how important it is to treat each other kindly and respectfully. My kids are learning so much more than academics.”

“I was looking for a school that would be warm and familial and supportive of my child and was going to have a set of values and priorities other than economic and social status. That was why I chose Pressman.”
“It’s very familial, very close, very supportive and these are certainly values that are intrinsic to what’s going on.”
“My daughter has had the best relationships with her teachers that I could have possibly imagined. The teachers are warm, creative, generous, accepting and openhearted. And the Hebrew program is excellent.”

“Both of our daughters attended Pressman Academy from the Early Childhood Center through the 8th grade. We chose wisely. Pressman Academy provided our daughters with an excellent education, but equally important, it provided a nurturing learning environment. We are forever grateful that Pressman imbued our daughters with a love of learning, a deep and lasting connection to Judaism and Israel, and a sense of belonging to our community. They were well prepared for the rigors of private high school and their transfer to high school was seamless. They visit Pressman and their teachers whenever they can, and willingly tell anyone who asks that they still consider Pressman Academy their home base.”
