Parent & Me Classes – Winter/Spring 2013

Our classes provide a wonderful way to form a special bond with your child and to connect with other families with young children. They are designed for your child to develop a sense of self, oral language skills, basic cognitive concepts, sensory-motor-skills, and creative self - expression through play, art, and music.

MUNCHKIN AND ME -- Age 12 months -- 2.5 years -- Tuesday, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
MUNCHKIN AND ME IN THE EVENING--age 12 months – 2.5 years -- Tuesday, 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.  

These fun classes incorporate messy art, circle time, story telling, music movement, and sensory exploration. Watch as your child grows socially, physically and cognitively.  This class also includes parenting discussions on various topics.

18-class session: Feb.5, 12, 19, 26, Mar. 5, 12,19,Apr. 9, 16, 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21, 28, June 4, 11, 18

Grandparents LOVE this class!  After all, what could be better than spending special time with your precious grandkids in a warm and nurturing environment?  Shabbat traditions will be celebrated, along with songs, story time, art exploration and more!  Discussions will focus on the important role grandparents have within the family structure.

CELEBRATE SHABBAT WITH ME! --age 1 – 2.5 years -- Friday, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

Come together with other families to welcome Shabbat!  This class includes special Shabbat and Jewish holiday-themed stories, songs, art experiences and activities, Shabbat blessings and snacks.  Parenting discussions, independent play and social time for the children are other components of this popular and fun class.

MORAH KIRA IS BACK!

TODDLER MUSIC --age 13 months– 2.5 years (walkers)- Wednesday, 9:00-10:00 a.m.
BABY MUSIC -- age 4 months – 12 months (crawlers)- Wednesday, 11:30 a.m.– 12:30 p.m

After giving birth to beautiful Ella Jay, Morah Kira is back for two new fun sessions of music! Join Kira in our joyful music class and introduce your baby or toddler to the language of music. Through instruments, song and dance, these classes instill a musical foundation that will last a lifetime.

Please note: These classes start the first week of January and are on a different schedule!

First session - 11 weeks: Jan. 9, 16, 23, 30, Feb. 6, 13, 20, 27, Mar. 6, 13, 20

TODDLER TIME -- age 19 months – 2 years-- Monday and Wednesday, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. (September – December); 9:00 – 12:00 (January – June). 

THIS PROGRAM RUNS FROM SEPTEMBER, 2013 - JUNE, 2014

This NEW program is a year-long class for children who turn two between September and February.   Parents attend this wonderful class with their child for 2 hours, 2 times a week. Toddler Time and Me is a gentle introduction to preschool for both parent and child. Children will enjoy developmentally appropriate opportunities to engage in such as outside play, art, music and movement, story time, sensory experiences and independent play, along with the introduction of curriculum “themes” that will change weekly.  While parents participate in discussions on developmental and socially relevant topics, children will socialize and connect with their classmates in supervised play. After winter break, and as the children become more comfortable in their surroundings, classroom routines, and the bonds they have formed with their classmates and teachers, parents can begin to transition out of the class and the class extends to 3 hours, 2 times a week.
