Working with synagogues, The Ezra Network is an initiative of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles in partnership with Jewish Family Service, Bet Tzedek Legal Services and Jewish Vocational Service.
If you're going through a major transition or difficult life event, you don't have to do it alone. Ezra Network support groups can help you gain insight, motivation, and encouragement. Support groups provide an opportunity to be with others who are in a similar situation. You can make connections, share feedback, and get advice.
Through the Ezra Network we offer the following professionally facilitated support groups in your area:
Caregiver Support Group (focus on memory impairment and Alzheimer's) at Temple Emanuel on Tuesdays at 11;00 a.m.

Bereavement Support Group at University Synagogue on Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. (Call Nina Reinis 323-600-5722 for more info about Caregiver/Bereavement Support)
Mental Wellness Support Group
Briyut HaNefesh is a mental wellness support group. The first of its kind in the Pico area, it is a holistic fusion of Torah and psychology for those in need of emotional, social, and spiritual support. In each group we will draw from the wisdom and sensitivity of our Jewish tradition as well as build our own personal coping resources. The support you will gain from joining this group will come from sharing your process with others who have similar experiences and from being guided by the facilitators Morateinu Alissa and JFS-Ezra Network Social Worker Rochelle Shapiro, MA, MFT Intern. This is a closed group and will be a safe and confidential space. Prior consultation is required.

Location: B'nai David-Judea, 8906 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90035
